DPD tracking statuses explained
DPD's tracking is short and usually quick: the shop tells DPD a parcel is coming, DPD collects it, it goes through a hub and a local depot, and on the day you get a one-hour window. Most updates need nothing from you. A missed delivery and a parcel stuck at the same stage for days are the ones that do.
Before DPD has it
"We've received your order details from the sender" or similar. The shop has booked the delivery. DPD does not have the parcel yet, so there is nothing to change. If nothing else appears for a few days, ask the shop whether it has actually been collected.
On the move
"We have your parcel" or "Your parcel is at our hub." DPD has scanned it in. Hub scans late at night are normal.
"Your parcel is at your local depot." It is close. It usually goes out the next working day.
The delivery day
Your one-hour window. On the morning of delivery DPD sends a window by email or text. From that message, and in the DPD app, you can usually pick a Pickup shop or locker, a neighbour, a safe place or another day, unless the sender asked for a signature.
"Out for delivery." It is on the van. Many DPD updates show the driver's progress and a live map close to your slot.
"Delivered." Usually with a photo or the name of whoever signed. Check the photo first if you cannot find it.
The ones that need you
"We were unable to deliver your parcel." DPD normally tries again or offers you the options above. Pick one from the message so it does not bounce back to the shop.
"Your parcel is at a DPD Pickup shop." Take ID and the code from the message. Pickup shops only hold parcels for a limited time.
Stuck on the same update for days. Contact the shop. They hold the contract with DPD and can chase it properly.
Doing this for a lot of parcels
Trackerly reads your dispatch emails, so every DPD number lands on one Tracking page with the latest update on each row, and DPD parcels update through the app on their own. The redirect options are in how to redirect a Royal Mail or DPD parcel.
